Our Services

At Palakudiyil, we have treated generations of families over the years and value the trust that our patients have placed in us. We have developed long term relationships with our patients and consider them as family.

ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS

Root canal treatment is designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected root canal, prevent reinfection of the tooth and save the natural tooth. When one undergoes a root canal, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed.

ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT

Orthodontic treatment is a way of straightening or moving teeth, to improve the appearance of the teeth and how they work. It can also help to look after the long-term health of your teeth, gums and jaw joints, by spreading the biting pressure over all your teeth. We provide everything from regular conventional metal braces, self ligating braces and also the latest invisalign clear aligners.

SMILE MAKEOVER

Smile makeover is a broader term used to denote many methods which can be used to give you a more pleasant and confident smile. The many methods for smile correction are teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, tooth coloured composite restorations, orthodontic treatments including clear aligners, aesthetic dental crowns and implants.

TEETH WHITENING

Teeth whitening is a process of removing stains from the tooth surface and restoring the natural color of the teeth. Whitening is a one-time procedure performed by a dentist. It is amongst the most common and widely adopted procedure. With the advent of the latest Dental technology, we have advanced whitening treatment procedures which give reliable and long-lasting results. For better results do get it done from a trained dental professional

DENTURES

Complete dentures or full dentures are designed to replace a full set of teeth. They can either fit on the upper arch, lower arch or both, and can be easily removed, whether it’s to clean your denture or simply to give your gums a rest. To help support your mouth and gums, you may choose to use a denture fixative such as those offered in the Polident. Denture fixatives can help ensure that your dentures are kept firmly in place, and help block food particles from becoming trapped underneath them.

AESTHETIC RESTORATIONS

Aesthetic restorative dentistry includes procedures, all intended to enhance your existing teeth, replace a cracked or missing tooth, reshape a tooth, and otherwise improve both the function of your teeth as well as your smile.

KIDS DENTISTRY - PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Kids dentistry is a whole different area of dentistry by itself. Children begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months of life. By age 6 or 7 years, they start to lose their first set of teeth, which eventually are replaced by secondary, permanent teeth. Without proper dental care, children face possible oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications. Early childhood dental caries—an infectious disease—is 5 times more common in children than asthma and 7 times more common than hay fever. About 1 of 5 (20%) children aged 5 to 11 years have at least one untreated decayed tooth.

CROWNS AND BRIDGES

Crown is used to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. A crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function. Porcelain or ceramic crowns can be matched to the color of your natural teeth. Other materials include gold and metal alloys, acrylic and ceramic. These alloys are generally stronger than porcelain and may be recommended for back teeth. Porcelain bonded to a metal shell is often used because it is both strong and attractive.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implant surgery is a procedure that replaces tooth roots with metal, screwlike posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real ones. Dental implant surgery can offer a welcome alternative to dentures or bridgework that doesn't fit well and can offer an option when a lack of natural teeth roots don't allow building denture or bridgework tooth replacements.

WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL

If the tooth hasn't come through the gum, a small cut (incision) will be made in the gum to access it. A small piece of the bone covering the tooth may also need to be removed. The tooth may be cut into smaller parts to make it easier to remove through the opening. There's less need to make an incision if the tooth has broken through the gum

CLEAR ALIGNERS

Aligners offer some benefits that metal braces don't. Aligners allow for easier brushing and flossing since they're removed for cleaning. Plus, food won't get stuck like with metal brackets. Because aligners don't have brackets or wires that can loosen, they may require fewer repairs and fewer emergency visits to the orthodontist. The biggest benefit is that clear aligners are nearly invisible, meaning many people won't be able to tell you're wearing them at all.
